I was a full-time professor and I still adjunct. We all learn modern portfolio theory mean variance analysis which builds to the cap. The social pressure is just this is what you teach because this is how we're prepping people to be quote-unquote educated so you you teach those things. It's not going to do it but at least for people who are open-minded and have the ability to change their mind, then they can start thinking outside the box.
