Everything from greeting someone in the street to choices of where to shop or what to buy all of these things can be seen as political statements. The size of this supposedly neutral area of life has immensely expanded, and I don't just mean in terms of bureaucracy. So a little and even more so is his friend Charbono really spent their lives protesting that kind of absorption of all of human life into politics. But the trouble with that is that politics is best no longer just a question of maintaining a negative bare minimum of freedom for discussion.
