The House and Senate Negotiated a Housing Compact

I was disappointed that we could not come to some understanding that included making sure localities were doing their part to produce more housing. It's no secret that I've been supportive of trying to do something about localities blocking housing for a couple of years now. And it has become a very broad consensus, not just in the legislature, but across the spectrum that that's necessary. That is supported by the big real estate organizations as well as tenant advocates,. affordable housing providers and broadly by both houses, the legislature.
