Was It a War?
Was it a war? What should we call it? Well, that's a good question. I think it's fair enough now with the benefit of 20-something years since it occurred to use the word war. It involved armed conflict between nations. But at the time that in itself was controversial,. for example, the NATO Secretary-General was reluctant to use theword war. Tony Blair almost made a point of calling it a war. Yeah, could we call this Blair's war? Because was it Blair who convinced Clinton that this was something that NATO needed to get involved in? I think absolutely. And Blair ultimately was the persuader in chief.
