The story needs to make sense, and so there's several things to look at. The only place that you'll see where one seller will do better with similar search volume is if their keyword ranks in the top three for most of the keywords. As long as the ranks are similar across the keywords, then that would indicate that they're sending outside traffic to me. That's like an affiliate link, that's some kind of outside campaign where they're driving traffic from outside of Amazon.
