Is There a Moderating Mechanism?
I understand the innate desire to be hunting for some universal constant or universal process like equals. But i think the reality is, especially in the social sciences, there's so much context that the world brings to people's behavior and attitudes. The thing that we really have to think hard about is what is the actual mechanism for the moderation that's operating here? It might not be biological sex that's actually moderating. And these are not the same things, right?
