Is There a Thousand Pair of Stars Colliding?
If you assume that there are trillion globular clusters in the observable universe, then that estimate tells you that there are a thousand pairs of stars collidingat every moment. We aren't near any globular clusters, not near enough to be worried about it, or like, to be sucked in or anything. So these collisions are happening in other places. But globula sters are really fascinating scientifically, and help us probe really interesting questions about the formations of stars. There'still a lot of things that we don't understand about globular clusters.
