Is This a Pre-Erdman's Take on Empiricism?

In 1888, Vos gave an address on the prospects of American theology. He really in that address believed that the empiricism of American Christianity was really such a cancer. And he saw the Reformed faith, covenantally, all the parts work together as a whole. If you attack the doctrine of God, you're attacking so many other things, you know, they're all held together. So Vos was very attuned to this and I think that's why a major in him over time just became closer and closer on this issue because Machin might have come at it in a way that was more straightforward.
