Status Matches
Most status matches are temporary, about 90 days. If you fly enough during those 90 days, you get to keep it for a year. Most airline programmes will only offer you one status matchi per certain amount of time,. every few years, or maybe even one per lifetime. So i haven't wanted to burn that bridge when i wasn't going to be able to either, a, meet the requirements or b, usit enough to make it worth while. They may say no, but that's the worst thing they're going to say. I think probably the person who approves or denies your match has the ability to click a magic button and make it happen.
