Someone pranked this guy and pre-sliked the sandwich into 16. Do they have some kind of aversion to prime numbers? Again, that's the non-crusty hypotenuse coming back in the book. Was it a sandwich in a school cafeteria that had been sliced by one of the teachers to demonstrate square numbers? I love that we keep everything coming back to math.
