Arun Kundnani: If you take vascular cells from a patient with pulmonary arterial hypertension, the phenotype manifests and is maintained for a sustained period outside. He says it looks like it's a salentrinxic issue, at least once the disease is set. But the regulatory mechanisms that cause the normal vasculature to assume this bizarre phenotypes are elusive,. he says. KD: This was a really more straightforward, I would say, economical study that used methods that aren't cutting edge, but are still advanced enough to give resolution of this phenomenon in these cells.
