Desmond morris is another one of the social critics from that time period. His premise is that humans in industrial society behave just like animals in captivity, because we're since like you said, right? I mean, the whole title of the book is the human zoo. It's pretty obvious. He's saying that large cities and modern society is a zoo for human beings, and that we don't natura y it's not natural. We haven't evolved to exist in this kind of environment.
