The Differences Between Signature Bank and New York Community Bank

NYCB bought a lot of loans from Signature Bank, went off opportunities here and there. But the two banks were using very different risk parameters in evaluating whether or not to make loans into that marketplace. And it showed in the data, right? We were looking at rent stabilization and comparing the two banks. On dollars per square foot, as well as looking at the market assessed value, Signature was up and to the right.
