Stable Isotope Analysis - A New Tool to Analyze the Tölensa Battlefield
Archaeologists used stable isotope analysis to study Bronze Age battlefield. They found two groups of combatants, one local and one non-local. The locals had strontium isotope signatures that matched the region around the Tölensa Valley. Non-locals ate a diet heavy in millet, which wasn't consumed around the late Bronze Age.
