The Anatomy of a Nail

The hard part of the nail is known as the nail plate. It's made out of these compressed layers of former epidermal skin cells that have been caratanized. The trans cent quality of the nails is, i think it's one of the most interesting things about them. And we'll get into the use of paints and other ornamental techniques on our nails in this episode.
