The unraveling is her Christie version of the Odyssey. Mrs. Weaver is Penelope, Erika's Tolemicus, and Martin is Odysseus himself. I think the story deserves more credit in its novel choice to blend the two genres. You're right that it's not Saint Mary Mead. It's Ithaca.
