I got on the team in 2009. So I had only been on the department for a year when I got selected for SWAT. It's pretty rapid. Retrospectively, looking back, I think about that a lot. And I'm like, man, I wouldn't have picked me in my shoes now as one of the senior guys on the team. You just didn't have enough, like, as the tea bag in the water, you didn't haveenough time to absorb. We get guys with tons of combat experience trying out and they're not a good thing for clarity.
