The Criticism of the Russians' Policies in the War

I think there's a perfectly good rationale for the policies being pursued by Putin in the war and his generals in the war, which is to lose as few lives as possible. The Ukrainians have suffered a far higher degree of casualties because they have been the one defending and defensible positions. Criticizing the army is a crime in Russian law; people are not scared to speak their opinions. I don't jump in with everybody who says that the whole thing is completely dysfunctional but things get done.
