The Differences Between WordPress and Joomla
I came to WordPress in probably about 2015, so a long time after you. I felt that the UI was much more straightforward to use. There were less options, which might be a good thing or a bad thing. You just log in and boom, you're right in the editor to create a post. Whereas Joomla or Drupal, there's a few more layers before you get into what you're trying to get into.
