The 2017 Tax Reforms: A Sticking Point for Democrats

The state and local tax deduction that gives you a low, let's you lower your federal taxable income. The 2017 reform capped that amount before it was unlimited,. They capped it at $10,000 of that of the taxes you pay can be deducted from your return if you choose to itemize. Many people in high tax states have pushed for uncapping this deduction but it hasn't been done yet.
