The Importance of Cultural Competence

Cultural competence includes cultural humility, which is a Marxist idea and implicated not only in self and social awareness, but also relationship skills and responsible decision making. So that's supposed to be a justification for why we have to be racist instead of colorblind. Some evidence suggests that if you spend a lot of time making kids bicultural or teaching them intercultural competence, that there might be sometimes some positive social, emotional and academic outcomes sometimes. That's what they're actually asking for and they're citing other crap to justify the demand.
