All black girls are activists is really just this simple statement that showing up as ourselves in a world that doesn't want anything to do with us actually being ourselves is radical and revolutionary. I like to bring Jesus into the conversation, because he's such a famous example of the fact that the body is inherently political. If you're fat your body is a political site; if you have darker skin than whiteness, your body is also a political site.
