There's more than the actual. There are the things that actually happen, and then there are those that haven't happened yet but might happen. We live with this persistent idea that other things might have happened or might yet happen. And all of that space seems to exert an influence on what is actual in a way that is kind of inscrutable. But my underlying concern is whether the actual and the possible are in fact identical sets?
