The Importance of Robustness in Technical Analysis
I'm always struck that smart people, when they first start to think about, let's say technical analysis or trend following or systems trading, and they get this idea in their head. You know, I absolutely agree with you, and I show you use the term that I was going to say, robustness. Low systems are a bust. Good methods are a Bust. And if 11 works and 12 doesn't, well, you're using your own method. Close it out the window, look for a new one. It's like driving a car. As long as you know how to drive, you will drive them all about the same good. Why? Because of your personal skill.
