The History of Soft Condaclens
Otto vitele used a bicycle dynamo from his sons as well. The dynama was not strong enough, i guess. And then he replaced it with a cramophone motor that's how he produced the first lenses. They had a possibility to try them on patients, but not really like standard people from the street or so on. But they had some connections to the a specialist on the medical side, who then tried them and so on. Didn't even try them on himself. He did, actually, he did it every time he showed them to people.
