The Future of HTTP and Lambda

Lambdas are functions that you can deploy in the cloud very cheaply without really having to worry about the infrastructure that it supports so they're a kind of abstraction on top of infrastructure. Lambdas can often be I mean AWS has a technology called API Gateway which allows you to put a kind of web front end on top of these lambdas. You can use them as consumers of queues or on in-home pub sub conversations or you can deploy them in all kinds of different ways. It's just trying to separate the function itself the business logic from the various kind of paraphernalia.
