Since the security law came into force, there has not been any mass protests in Hong kong. James: I would be very surprised if there was any kind of mass protest er over the week end or even in the coming weeks. Jamest: It does sound like thes elections is really to present the appearance of democracy, but this is very much controlled by bejing. And i think it may be speaks to to the kind of brand that democracy still has.
