Head Elevated Laryngoscopy Position Improves Laryngeal Exposure

A new study shows that elevating the head can improve laryngeal exposure by increasing head elevation. The authors measured POGO, or percent of glottic opening which was exposed during laryngoscopy. If you see a score of 100, it means you see 100% of the glottis from anterior commissure to abretinoids. So what did they find in these seven cadavers? Well, like the prior studies, they showed that as the head is raised from the bed or the table to higher and higher elevation beyond the table.
