What Are the Most Common Risk Factors for Osteoarthritis?

"I have worked out for years. I was very active as a kid growing up and started lifting weights when I was about 39 and 56 now," he says. "Nobody mentioned the word arthritis to me until November of last year ... He told me that I had devastating arthritis in both elbows." The most common risk factors are being above a healthy weight, a joint injury, and a family history.
