COVID-19 and K-18 Human ACE2 Mouse
This is a paper from Stan Perlman's lab at the University of Iowa. The transgenic mouse has the human ACE2 gene, which encodes the receptor for SARS-CoV-2. These mice are not so great because they develop CNS disease and that doesn't kill SARS,. But now we're seeing with SARS- CoV-2 more neurological involvement than before.
