The film is based on a true story about the life of Ben feringa, who won the nobel prize in chemistry. Feringa faced many obstacles to his success but he learned from them and went on to make films that became Australia's entry into the oscars. He says there are different ways to approach setbacks such as focusing on what you still have rather than what you've lost. The only way to become your own hero is to go through obstacle after obstacle until you can do it anyway.
