The Role of Transfer Learning in the Project

Machine learning models are best when they have lots of data to learn meaningful high quality representations. We had access to a data set containing passively collected worker profiles online that was provided to us by Zippia, which is a career planning company. And we can think of each worker profile as also containing sequences of jobs. So while these worker profiles may not be well suited to economic analyses directly, perhaps because they're missing important information such as demographics or wage.
