The Differences Between the Great Powers

The prussian and british militaries put less emphasis on mounted warfare. Both armies included elite cavalry regiments with fearsome reputations. But in general, their mounted troops did sometimes under perform compared to their rivals. The british cavalry were particularly notorious for poor discipline. After a charge, cavalry units were supposed to reform and wait for new orders. This could make them much more effective. But british horsemen refused to reform after a charge.
