The definition of toxic masculinity is cultural norms associated with men that are harmful for society and men themselves. In the viking legends, the guys were pretty hyper macho. Anything they saw as demeaning was to be utterly shunned. The thing that made his men so formidable was ultimately the thing that would destroy them. Maybe that's why king half, son of horlief and hild, died laughing, stabbed by a dozen warriors with the long burning behind him? We'll see.
