What Does This Mean for Law Making?
Public policy is made primarily by democrats trying to respond to conservative objections. We try to help the constituencies identified by the democratic party as in need of help, but we tend to be reluctant to do that through the most direct, big government solution. The democratic party is about to pass major legislation, which is, as usual, together 50 different policy proposals,. Each one to address a specific policy concern. But overwhelmingly, they are still designed to try to anticipate and respond to conservative objected public policy.
