The right stuff by Tom Wolf basically meant things hardwired into skills, into skilled pilots that allowed them to function at the highest level. He meant in these three words attributes. That's what the right stuff trains. And then it's the things you talked about there, elemental, they, they inform rather than direct what you're going to do. Attributes are difficult to assess, measure and test. They don't know who's going to make it through seal training. You can't predict necessarily what the other person is. It's uncertainty. So there's adaptability, there's perseverance. There's all these things coming to play climbing would be the same thing.
Rich draws upon 20+ years of experience as a Navy SEAL Officer where he completed more than 13 overseas deployments – 11 of which were to Iraq and Afghanistan. Through his career, he has achieved multiple leadership positions – to include the Commanding Officer of a Navy SEAL Command.
