An average video on my channel is going to get around 12 to 1500 views before they determine if it's going to take off or not. A youtube short like you said if it doesn't do well within the first 24 to 48 hours It's just dead in the water But it was interesting. I had one do really well get not not really well but a thousand views whatever and then it was kind of dead until the next day when it spiked again. That is the power of the long form content that I love and I hope youtube never gets away from that.
