The Importance of Method in Trading
For an independent trader, it's not necessarily greedy or unreasonable to expect returns of much greater than 20% per year. I'm not really comfortable telling anybody a certain return. Everything is based on your scale and the risk that you take with every trade. When you trade in a very leverage environment like futures that entails a very high risk of trading, I think your most important focus should be your method.
