What Were the Lessons of the Civil War?
In the first year and a half of Civil war, the north looked like such lumbering. They didn't really know how to fight. Surety, they had all these advantages, but a lot of the smart money early on was on the south. And so, you know, i guess the only point being that, in hindside, it looked like it was obvious that the south would lose,. But it wasn't obvious for a while. It's why you can't go by casualties or any of that. It depends on morale. N people are crazy enough, they'll go forever.
