The AFD's Role in the American Far Right
How closely do members of the AFD espouse explicit neo-Nazi beliefs or is it more of the dog whistle style that we often see in the American far right? The original genesis of the party I think on like 2013 was like comparatively like moderate right-wing populist politics and then at a certain point the party was like overtaken by an internal insurgent wing which drove it more explicitly far right. They are very clearly anti-immigrant and they're very clearly like far right but they've been playing sort of more with the actual terms recently.
