Is There a Job Path That Sucks for You?
I get a devil wears Prada movie feeling from this. Is there any truth to that movie? I think that the magazines that I worked at were like not as high profile as what they were trying to represent in that movie, but it was really just one step away. There was a culture of letting editor and chief have a lot of room to be divas and complicated and challenging personalities. And aside from that, I just wasn't good at the basis of the job,. Like ordering the right lunch, heating the lunch up to the right temperature, ordering the right flowers, getting the car service to be where it needs to be.
