I think there are these contexts and having a child raising child, caregiving, illness, the death of a loved one that are ubiquitous universal. And our culture attempts to kind of paper over in ways that will stop you from experiencing the fullness of that transformation. I'm making an argument for the primacy of this modality of understanding transformative action, that is off the public stage.
