A Little Old Lady's Body Found in a Garden in Sacramento
Dorothea Puente's body was found in the garden of 1426 F Street. A national manhunt began and four more bodies were discovered at her home. The Sacramento chief of police apologized for letting Dorothea slip through the net overnight. With seven sets of remains now sitting on ice, Cabrera and his team had to try and put names to the body bags. They collected a list of people who had received Social Security checks to Dorothea's address. Eventually they whittled it down to 13 names and with this they were able to start identifying the bodies. Each body including birds had been wrapped in several layers of bed sheets and duct tape before being placed in the ground
