Anger Is the First Step to Courage
In 1987, women weren't allowed to be angry until probably what, 1991? Maybe not even today. So anger was a real problem at that time, but she had a lot of it. St. Augustine says what anger is the first step towards courage or something like that. But there's so much else that that also makes true. And one of them is that you can't really have any political consciousness because how can you do anything in protest without anger being available to you?
