The embodied approach is a better way to titrate. A lot of people who have experienced, especially early trauma, can't access sensations of emotion in their body at first. Over time, slowly over time, they can become more familiar. And that is a method that's I think safer than going into these traumatic memories which can precipitate just so much spinning cognitively. They don't even know where the life raft is. So you have to develop the kind of anchor or the base in the body before telling people to go into that spin cycle"
