Where Is the Water Going?
A lot of the water we use is coming from ground water stored in the soil or rock beneath the earth's surface. Some ground water is what we might call fossil ground water, where it was put in place tens of thousands of years ago during the ice age. And if we pull that ground water up and use it, it's a little bit like using oil. It's it's gone from that reservoir. So where we need the water is not always where the water is. sowewe are in the business of bringing water to where we need it,. whether it's for agriculture or for cities.
