I'm a Congregationalist Christian, but I Was Also a Christian.

I was raised a Congregationalist Christian. But yeah, I mean, I was very, very left-wing. My socialism and the experience of living abroad prevented me from ever being an adherent to what you'd call malthusianism. The idea that there's just too many people in the world always struck me as racist. And so I think I was also looking for a substitute religion. Also dealing with my own exhibition of narcissism in the form of messianism.
