The Frozen Shoulder

The first person to what we use that using discussing this was a French doctor in the 1870s. Dr. DuBois described the pathology as adhesions in the bursa, which has been around for about 50 years. A few years after Kahneman, other people came on board and said it's not a frozen shoulder, it's a capsulitis. The two terms morphed together and we use them interchangeably now, but their origins were very different.
