The Dollar Is the Best Inflation Hedge, Right?
For a good chunk of the year, as you know, there was pretty high agreement around stocks and bonds of particular treasuries and stocks on the high inflation narrative. But the dollar didn't really, I'd argue, respond the way that most people would think. So like gold, for example, was something that everyone talked about. Gold was really unable to catch much of a bit at all this year. And a lot of this is because of the dollar and the dollar still is, it has come down off the highs, but it still is pretty strong.
