The Blackfeet and Glacier National Park

In the 1800s as white settlers moved west the US government launched a series of campaigns to kill and confine the people who lived in and around what's now Glacier National Park. The Blackfeet but also the Salish, the Kootenay and the Pandare were among those massacred. Eventually with the buffalo almost gone and their people almost gone the tribes were forced to sign agreements that gave the US government what it wanted all along.
